which one glue?

Hi All,

I have just purchased an old Bailey Hand plane with the tote broken in two pieces.
They are very precise in the sense that the two parts matches perfectly.
I should have to glue it but I don't know which glue I have to choose.

I saw that a fellow use epoxy but he says that a normal PVA glue could be used.

What would you use? Epoxy,PVA, Hide glue :shock:
An ancient woodworker would have used hide glue...

If it was my plane I'd use just normal PVA glue, or you could even make a new one like Alf has just done:
