Been using some Lidl hot melt sticks I got recently, whilst ok they do seem to struggle for attaching waste timber as sacrificial faceplates to various timbers. So, can anyone recommend a better quality glue stick or are they much of a muchness?

I use bison.
very strong, but you have to let the gun heat up. The first squeezings are not strong at all.

I use https://www.gluegunsdirect.com/ sometimes the special offers of mis coloured/contaminated with glitter stuff is ridiculously cheap if you can find someone to split the order with. The only problem is that they don't do 11mm sticks, only 12mm.
https://www.gluegunsdirect.com/shop/glu ... e-gun-kit/ is the one I have - I'm still working my way through the glue sticks. Certainly worthwhile if you use loads.

It's worth a look at the site - there's a lot of info there.
