...make sure that when you get to the door into the room you are working in that (a) it still opens and you can get out and (b) when you realise that it won't open and that you can't get out that you have the tools needed to trim the bottom of the door on YOUR side of the door and not the other side.

And that you're not alone in an empty flat.

DAMHIKT

Ha Ha,
Are you still in there? :D With an Internet connection?

Shall will nip round with some tools and let you out.

Thats give me a good giggle.

Lee.

Fair play for admitting it! So ARE you still in there???? and if not how much floor did you have to lift to get out?

Like so many things, it's obvious after the event, but it never crosses your mind when you start!

heheh. I did a simular thing when i was an apprentice. Fitting a new door into the frame for a utility room. The door was a bit tight, and my kit was outside. The door was wedged in

Hour later, the owner still hasn't come back from shopping and i'm starting to need a No.1.

Two hours later, no sign of owner. The sink in the utility room is starting to look promising.

Three hours later, the owner arrives. Helps my escape by pushing the door out of the frame. No longer need a No.1

Lynx, ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahah
Syntec4, your new avatar is distrating!

I managed to get my arm around part of the door and scrabbling came across a mains plug. No idea what was at the end of it..but my guardian angel came to my rescue and attached to the other end was my Fein Multimaster.

So I hacked off the bottom of the door and made good my escape
