Thank you Robin, I put in a price of 2,000 and they 'weren't prepared for the price'.
Some people.

Ballpark, including all the associated dust sheeting and carpet protecting in the house etc, fully sprayed finish in any colour as described. 3k net.

It's always frustrating when you do so much work and the customer ends up saying no as they are probably thinking that they can get it cheaper from ikea.

However, it's fantastic when a customer just says yes and happily hands over a 30% deposit.......and then you wish you put on an extra £150!

Move on to the next quote and forget about the ones who say no.

I always try to get an idea of the customers budget before I commit too much time to a project.

Give them a ballpark off the top of your head and see how they react

i.e you could of said with that job at the initial meeting
"have you a budget in mind?"
" you would be looking in the £2-£3k range depending on the level of detail"

This would save you a lot of wasted time as some people have not got a clue how much things cost
