I have not laughed this much for ages reading this thread and all the crazy answers, some of them were brilliant.

Sorry Steve, I can't think of anything unless it was something like a long sash clamp longer than what you already have or one of those clamps that holds your boards together whilst keeping them flat, if you know what I mean, cuz I ain't got a clue.

It'll probably come to you about 4 in the morning - six months from now, IME...

any advances on 4 in the morning or 6 months, do I detect a comp. coming on here

Steve, overnight a thought occurred to me (I know, I was surprised too, so I wrote it down) - couldn't be anything to do with clamps of the might-be-a-breadboard-end-variety-but-let's-not-get-into-that-argument-again type, could it? A jig for making them or something?

Well it was a wild shot in the dark. In fog. With a blindfold on. But hey, at least I'm trying to take it seriously now.

Cheers, Alf

Sadly I don't know of such a jig, so it couldn't be that.

I think I must just have been having a Senior Moment when I wrote it down and I'm trying to forget about it, as it's driving me nuts (as the Scotsman said, etc, etc).

TVM anyway.
Steve

What does it matter? you are obviously coping without it. One day when you come to do what originally made you write it down you will know. Take a chill pill, the sun is out.
