The latest Big Builder Acrows - much less expensive than the proper traditional ones and if a serf should be squashed by any collapse, there are plenty more to be had as none of them need to be actually qualified to lay bricks these days! (See Yosser Hughes for details).

Also, if the house falls down it makes more repair bills for house buying guls to pay. Big Builder needs his big black bottom line as the latest yacht has got a bit tatty.

Efficiency, that is (of the profit-making).

I think you mean, a ‘gubby’ job, where a few blokes in their ‘spare time’ are doing it for cash. Sod H&S and jets not worry about paying any tax or insurance. Depriving the government if much needed revenue to fund the basdive discuss usages affecting the country. Illegal, fraudulent practice that is usually held up by many as laudable enterprise. Best yet, you get to claim it’s ‘greedy’ true entrepreneurs who put everything they have on the line to offer employment and build much needed houses.

Sort of looks like a new build as well. Stickers on that (Landing?) window, and another building with scaff in the background.
It all looks new.
What are they doing though?

It seems that the Big Builders are, in practice, scaled up gubbiers then, enterprising only at producing least value for most profit. I read that they're also good at tax avoidance but occasionally try-on the evasion too. But then .... that's normal post-modern business practice, eh?

Those incompetents who form small gangs of the inexpert, doing the various jobs by not doing them, are often named "cowboys". They are swarming about all over these days. No one prevents them. They're just copying Big Business really.

Looking at the 'brickwork' over the window and the eaves corner I'd say it's AI generated, either that or the bricky needs a bigger stetson

Not convinced with that original picture either, but I can speak from experience as to how terrifying it is when you take on a job that risks destroying someone's house:

Pictures speak louder..

We were somewhat relieved when we got the steels in, so was the customer.

And as my mate said to them, you can safely get back to bedroom activities....

Love the fact the hanging basket is still there! Bet there were a few pucker inducing moments when the last bricks came out

A bit like underpinning, it's perfectly safe when done properly by someone who knows what they're doing but when it goes wrong it really does.
