Hello fellow woodworkers.

I am in the final stages of making my contemporary rocking chair and was hoping someone had a good idea for how i can varnish/protect it?
Its made from laminating pieces of plywood (60%), chipboard (35%) and acrylic (5%), so having some plastic might limit my choices?

I've had plasti-cote suggested, a spray on varnish for most surfaces, but have never used it before?

What would be ideal is a semi-gloss finish, very high scratch resistance, for indoor use but if possible also outdoor protection would be great. Any ideas?

And also would a spray finish give a smoother finish than brushed?

Thanks for the advice.

Cheers for the Rustin's link, after reading they're description it sounds great and I'll probably order from them next few days.

Should I wire wool it when it has totally cured?
Could I then polish it with t-cut ?
