Hello fellow woodworkers.
I am in the final stages of making my contemporary rocking chair and was hoping someone had a good idea for how i can varnish/protect it?
Its made from laminating pieces of plywood (60%), chipboard (35%) and acrylic (5%), so having some plastic might limit my choices?
I've had plasti-cote suggested, a spray on varnish for most surfaces, but have never used it before?
What would be ideal is a semi-gloss finish, very high scratch resistance, for indoor use but if possible also outdoor protection would be great. Any ideas?
And also would a spray finish give a smoother finish than brushed?
