On the outside of an external door there is often a horizontal feature at the bottom whose purpose is to divert water running down the door beyond the seal so that it remains outside. Without this feature water can run down the door and past the 'seal', whereupon its only route is inwards under the door.
What is this feature called? I want our builder to add one to the door that he just fitted, and would like to pretend to be knowledgeable.
Thanks in advance for any help......
