What files to buy?

Hello. Can anybody advise me on the best brands of files to buy? I've bought cheap ones that quickly go dull, and I have some ancient Disstons (bought used) that are still sharp despite rust and years of clinking around in drawers and tool boxes. Who offers the best value for the price?
