what do you use on your diamond stone

hi what do you on your diamond stones when sharpening i find the best to use is window cleaner from lidl for £0.60p per ltr it does a good job of moving swarf and keeps thee tool moving also it very easy to use
just dont tell the wife

Window cleaner is basically being used as a tension breaker, here. Similarly, a few drops of mechs in the water will work equally well, which is what I do . SIX!

I don't use diamond stones, but I do sometimes use ceramic stones. The lubricant I use is water with a few drops of washing-up liquid to break the surface tension. Works a treat. (Don't overdo the washing-up liquid though, or you're operating in a sea of bubbles. Don't ask how I know....)

I find the grainy mustard removes too much steel.
Personally I prefer Balsamic Vinegar - it creates a fine slurry and fills the workshop with the scent of the Mediterranean.

Now thats just stupid. Everyone knows that Fig juice ruins diamond stones.
