So I decided to take a punt on some cheap Chinesium tools.

The brand is Veiko.
I have:
600mm square (not in the photo)
300mm square.
500mm t-square.
Precision Square.
45° Precision Square.
Adjustable t-square

I have ordered a Speed Square too but that has not arrived.

First of the build quality is actually pretty dam good, they don't feel cheap or flimsy. Made from aluminium and stainless steel.
The marking are clear and easy to read but they are printed, not etched.

From my basic testing they are bang on accurate, your milage may vary, I did the line and flip thing.

Total cost £200 delivered.
Only time will tell how they hold up after some usage.

I have a few of their tools too , I find them to be of good quality compared to the American versions at considerably more money . Edited - on top of what is obviously a copy/ clone of the more famous brand delivery shipping and import costs are usually included. At these prices I’m not concerned about printed markings as I’d simply replace the tool . I think anyone on a low budget or just starting out buying tools for woodwork need look no further . Edit There are a lot of other copies sellers that are simply not fit for purpose but this company seem to of got it right / got mine from Banggood ( no affiliation )
