I saw this

Evidently it's made in germany (which is closer to us than merica :roll: ).

If "they" can sell at this price ($170) why isn't it available here for about 100 quid?

That machine is the Scheppach Tiger 2500 - it's about £150. It is made in Germany unlike the cheaper Tiger 2000 and 2000s.
