My experience of wenge is that the grain must run parallel to the timber edge otherwise it picks up and thats when splinters are a problem.

DW, even if the grain is running parallel it will still give off nasty splinters :evil: - Rob

it is horrible horrible stuff for splinters. Oryx Design ended up with a disgusting septic finger full of pus in A&E. Even thinking about the injection into his finger and the scalpel makes me wince.

Perhaps I shouldn't have watched so closely :?
