Been to measure up for some wardrobes for my niece today. She has lots of clothes but not much room for wardrobes,so she wants two hanging rails, one above the other. The lower one will be quite high to allow for long dresses and coats which will mean the top one will be quite high. She is small and wont be able to reach it.I saw in B&Q one of their wardrobes has a pull down hanging rail with a pole to combat this problem. It brings the clothes out and down so they can be reached.Trouble is they are a bit narrow for my needs.Anyone know where i can get them in bigger sizes?

She has a stool tusses, just thought this would be a neat solution.

Thanks for that Paul, looks just the job but it is expensive. The one in B&Q is the same but only £34.00.Suppose the woodfit one is better quality and has the advantage of being adjustable.I'm working to a set budget but will see if i can run to the woodfit one.

Hafele do them up to 1200mm wide (part number 805.20.356), they call them wardrobe lifts.

Thanks again, just seen the one in B&Q(£34.00) and it looks not too bad.Problem is you can only see them in situ and it says nothing about it being adjustable.Tried to pull it apart to see if it would expand but nearly broke it.Theirs is too narrow for my needs so will go with one of the options from you guys.

Cheers.

Does look that way doesn't it.It did have stated sizes on it and said the width was 700 and something.Did get some joy when i tried to expand it but because it was in situ,it wouldn't move far.

Steve.

Steve,
I had a look and it's adjustable, I'm waiting for an email from B&Q as to it's min and max sizes and max weight capacity but as it's sold only to fit their wardrobe unit I'm not holding my breath.
Jeff.

I was in a B&Q warehouse yesterday and saw this in the flesh. It's pretty meaty and way better quality than I expected. The only down side is that with no clothes or weight on the spring seems a bit strong. The initial pull down takes some force but other than that it seems a bit of a bargin.

I've used the Hafele ones a few times now and they have the same issue- specs give a minimum as well as maximum loading.
