Hi All,

No worries here... there was a quote taken out of context during a 2-hour meeting/interview with a reporter (meeting was on making Christmas presents). Dad was explaining negative effects of rapidly fluctuating currency, and some particularly ill-conceived Ontario legislation - pointing out the negative effects of both. The actual story on what Dad's making for Christmas will run soon...

Hate to cut short the run on buying up all existing Veritas inventory though...:)

Cheers -

Rob

(Crossposting this to other boards too...nice to know y'all care!)

Well there's a surprise

Any data / info provided during 2 hour interview with a reporter is about 1 hour 55 minutes longer than most of the media can handle.

Sorry Rob, I don't have much faith in the media, in fact I think they are responsible for much that's wrong with our world today :(

Hi -

The following was printed in the Ottawa Citizen this morning. I should mention that while most of the facts are correct in the article - not all of them pertain specifically to LV or Veritas. The reporter feels terrible about how the context was misconstrued.

On page 2 of today's Citizen there is an Editor's Note that reads as follows:

"In a story on page C1 Monday about how the high Canadian dollar is affecting Lee Valley Tools, Leonard Lee said, "I think we'll make it through next year but we can't continue forever." Mr. Lee was referring to the expectation that the company would continue its 30-year history of not laying off any employees, not the possibility that the company would get out of manufacturing."

Cheers -

Rob

Oh Dear!

I should have read ALL the posts on this thread  before I started panic buying ....

Too late now, I guess I'll just have to keep the LAJ when it arrives, won't I?

Seriously though, glad to hear your response Rob.

Les
