veneer Press stuff

Hi All,

I am looking a building a small veneer press (would like larger but no room). I have looked around for the press screws, but the only ones I can see are from the States (no wish to pay the import tax's). So my question here is can anyone advise where in the uk I can get them or is there an alternative. Thanks in advance

no, it is a shame. I cant either. The main picture is on google if you search veneer press screws in images, but not the WIP ones.

Hi Richard,

Just saw this thread, don't know if you've ordered yet, you will probably have to get them from abroad. I got mine from China via Tizaro, but they don't do them any more. The best search term to google for is "Jorgensen Press Screw". They are fairly common in the States.

Will try to get the pictures on my thread back up, they are hosted on my website and I've been redoing it, so things have been a bit messed up....

have you considered a vacuum pump setup, folds up to next to nothing when not in use, can be a bit of a faff to use.

How little is little. I use a book-binding press which will take up to A3 size.

Picked up off eBay for £20 iirc.

+1 to that, I use one too for small things, much less bother if that's as big as you need.
