Hi Guys,
my scheppach has jammed. I switched it off within a couple of seconds cleaned it out and all I get is a kind of jammed sound from the motor and don't want to burn it out. The planer shares a plug with a hammer bandsaw and it is on a 32 amp breaker. So I will have to watch the motor.
Does anyone have any ideas on what might be the problem?

Thanks

With the power disconnected, does it turn by hand? Is there a piece of wood jamming in the cuttergead? Lower the table and make sure its all clear.
If none of the above, slacken the motor mounts and remove the V drive belt, then try the motor. If the motor runs, then the problem is further up the driveline, find it by eliminating each stage.
If the motor does not run, then it could be tricky. I know for a fact that these cost over £350:00 from Scheppach.
Good luck

Fraseman,

sorry can't help you on your P/T problems, but how are you getting on with your Hammer bandsaw?
Am I right in saying that you have not had it long? and will you be doing a review of it?
The reason I am asking is,it could be the next bit of "kit" on my list.

Mark.
