hi having just bought a union jubilee lathe can any one tell me what the head stock thread is likely to be, it measures about 7/8s

so what would the thread be

any one know what axminster chuck backs codes stand for, i need one for bison 100mm chuck (same as axi pre)
which is 1" 10 thread #-o

Hi Pip,
I'm afraid I don't know the Bison chuck but you could try Peter Hemsley at the Toolpost.

He's very helpful and the Versachuck backplates are a DIN standard and fit both Versachuck and Axi Super Precision chucks and come in more thread options than Axi normally stock - you may be lucky.
