Hey all - first time poster, so go easy.

I picked up this machine from auction for £90. The motor initially came on, but was sparking, so I changed the bushes with these from Amazon, which had good reviews.

It came on, was still sparking, and then the motor just died. Any ideas what might have happened here? The bushes fitted fine, and there only seems to one way they can slide in, so I don't think it was that.

I'd describe myself as a serious hobbyist, so I could take it apart and clean it up but not sure I'd be able to diagnose and repair motor issues.

Anyone got any ideas on what might be happening here? And what my options might be to get it repaired? I'm assuming the cost of repair will be mean it might be better just to pay a new one!
