Hi, I don't usually do dovetails, but have realised I should. I have been putting together a small shelf unit for a tea set (about which I will post later!), and thought I would use dovetails! I do have a coping saw, but the blade seems to coarse to cut, so I was wondering what TPI's are best to use for cutting the waste out of dovetails? Thanks

I believe the minimum number of teeth that need to be engaged in the wood is 3. I've always fared well enough with a standard coping saw blade
Though it is convenient, you don't need to use a coping saw. Some folk cope quite well just using a chisel to remove the waste..
