Could be that the collet is a little worn?

According to the guy I bought it off, the slipping bit happened the first time he used it! I'll get a new collet at some stage and see what difference it makes.

I had a good chuckle at your story - I reckon we all know someone like that! :lol: :roll:

Ive had a look through the forum, and it seems that it is often mentioned that DeWalt just has the edge in build and finish quality, so I think thats what I will be getting.
I havent ruled out the festool routers either, but thats a different price range, different kettle of fish eh.

Hi Neil,
Yep, the tritons are great. They excel under the table. This time Im looking for a good hand held router.
Ive got a makita 3612c under the table. It hasnt let me down yet.

Ive heard (and also looks) that the tritons handles are a little high for comfortable hand held use. Whats your take on that?
