I will only use a train as a last resort, or if someone else is paying AND so long as time is not critical as the ones I ever travel on are invariably late!

Roger - That just about sums up my approach as well. I did commute into London from 2000 to 2003 and nearly lost my mind using the train, in the end I found bus service that picked me up 10 minutes walk from my home, was only ever half full, one fifth the price, and since it dropped me close to my office it was marginally quicker as well:lol: As our American friends would say - it was a 'no brainner' :!:
