Project number two building this at the same time as the loco and the truck.

Parts prepared and some cut out not that many yet but there are plenty more to do.

Wood prepared and marked out

As with the loco, the spares draws will be used for some of the parts as many pieces in there are already dimentioned to the most common thicknesses that I use

A little progress on the tractor after deciding that the main piece that I had cut out was not to my liking so remade it. Also, which can not be seen drilling holes for various pieces of dowel to be added at a later date.

The first of the glue ups take after it came out of the clamps

I thought it may look better the right way up as well as a couple of parts just placed roughly where they will eventually be glued in place

Looks to me like we've got another build coming on like that "funny" WWII tracked vehicle masterpiece you posted a while back Dalboy. Looking forward with great interest.

Well three builds this time, and all at once.

Some more done

Hydraulic control panel and the tow bar/implement bar

Been busy making a few pieces which end up in a box ready for fitting as the build moves forward some will not be glued in place until later in fear they could get knock off while working on it.

A close up of the lights which are made from two different wood the lighter one being a piece of dowel which I liked the grain of and gives the effect of the glass facets that are in the glass.

Some general views of some of the parts that I have produced and fitted. It is surprising how long some of these parts take to make even though they look simple, plus if I think they look wrong or just cut wrong because I was not paying attention which happens sometimes.

Some test runs to cut out the grill section on waste wood but found the cutter I have is too wide so now trying to sort out another of the correct size you can see from the section on the plan what I need to do. Even the saw blades i have are not the correct width.

Forgot to add some of the build photos anyway just completed this tractor like most of the models I make it does involve some turning and as it takes a little time I am not filling the house with bowls and other turning. I started this the loco and a truck all on the 17th of May this year and this is the last of the three. Finished with acrylic sander sealer and satin lacquer. Measures 11 1/2" L X 6 1/2" W X 7" T

It would be great if you could include something in your photos, Derek, which gave us a sense of the size of these models. Is it the size of a matchbox or a shoebox?

I did put the size in the discription

Yet another very fine example of your "museum quality" model building skills Dalboy. Very well done Sir =D> =D> =D>
