So I wanted a smaller tool chest and found this old one on eBay and then went about restoring it. Was previously used by and electrical engineer in the British army

Beautiful tool chest. Has it only those two tills?
I love it although I would have saved the original ropes instead of new handles.

Yes the rope was nice but the mould wasn’t
Looks great.
I suggest the "El Ftr", stands for "Electrical Fitter". My dad was a radio fitter in the RAF. He once explained the difference to me between a mechanic and a fitter. A mechanic "just" repaired things with parts as supplied. If a fitter didn't have the parts, he made them.
