Thunderbird-compatible free email account?

Folks,

Been having an email 'mare trying to get the Old Tools List back after Charley's server move; just can't seem to get it to work with my cornishworkshop.co.uk addy any more. Hotmail isn't Thunderbird-friendly, but are any of the others? Am I going to have to <gulp> ask for a Gmail invite? #-o Any thoughts appreciated.

Alf-Gmail works for me too, its very reliable and fast. I've got plenty of invites left also.
In fact if you or anyone wants one send me a pm with you're email address and I'll send you one.
