Three bowls

Not being able to get much turning done due to other projects and things I decided to get into the workshop for a good days turning for a quick break from them other buts.

Managed to produce two Ash bowls one with some nice ripple and a old knot hole as well as a spalted Beech bowl.

First the plain Ash bowl 9" X 2 1/2"

Ash bowl with ripple and knot hole 8 3/4" X 2"

Spalted beech bowl 7" X 2 1/4"

Now that feels better back to the other jobs again

As mentioned elsewhere I like the rim treatment on the first Ash bowl and the similar treatment on the spalted piece, the sharper definition of the Ash being the preference.

Thank you Chas The rim on the spalted bowl is a cove on the top with the inner and outer lip being the same the light does not show it that well.
