Ooooo...

Hey, I have a nagging memory of someone saying either Hampton or Clifford used to go about the place demo-ing the joys of Record planes (iirc said someone mentioned said demos didn't exactly push the boundaries of said tools alleged abilities). Anyway where was I? Oh yeah, could be a filmed version of same to save the travellin' about perhaps? Doesn't look any too easy to even see it, never mind get a copy though. :(

Cheers, Alf

Didn't Record do a lot of work with educational establishments in the "good old days"? Might have been produced in connection with that? Perhaps Rob (Woodbloke) knows - he used to teach the little horrors?

Cheers

Better not to look.

I think Hampton is largely responsible for the straight blade perversion.........

David

It is Bob Wearing's story, that when demonstrating the multiplane, he (Hampton) would bring his own, nice straight grained mild stuff. (Wise man).

The students asked to see the plane working in gnarly Elm, but he cleverly sidestepped the question, saying there would not be time to get to the end of the presentation!
