While at my club last wednesday night, i spoke to malcolm (penman) about making goblets, oh come over on sunday as you are off work he said and i'll show you how to make them.
I duly arrived at his house and was led into his workshop where between us we turned this goblet, made from yew.
All went exstremely well with it until the very end when parting off, a crack we had noticed at the start of the turning suddenly let go and threw a small piece of the rim off, but no worries it adds to the charm.
And finally the inside of it, the circle at the bottom is from a small light malcolm has at the side of the lathe.
All fired up now and ready for Richard next thursday..
