Tesco Workmate bargain

Got a bit of a bargain, or at least I thought so, while doing the food shop tonight.

I always check the DIY section as I have had excellent deals on odd things in the past like motor oil or WD40 on clearance prices. Today I spotted Black and Workmates, just the basic one (301 model I think) £7.50, and it wasn't even reduced or anything, just the normal white label price, very odd since on the tesco website they are £30!.
As far as I am aware you can't even get the offbrand versions for this cheap.
They had 2 on the shelf so I had both of them, I am going to use them instead of trestles.

Very odd they were so cheap, especially considering they are £30 on the website.

They've probably been sat in a backroom for years until a manager decided they were sick of seeing them and put them out on the shelves at that price to get rid of them.

FWIW the new 301's do not seem anywhere near as sturdy as the old 301 I have (40+ years old I think). However compared to some of the off brand versions I have seen it is very good. Look forward to putting them together when I have the chance and working out how best to use them as trestles.
