I wonder if anyone can help me with a problem I have with my tablet? I recently bought a Arnova tablet to show my photos on as it would be easier for me than carting around a photo album. It uses android apparently and when I transfer my photos from my laptop and put them into a gallery it shows them in the wrong order? I have tried renaming them and tried listing them alphabetically and in numerical order but a few of them still come out in the wrong order? Is it me doing something wrong or is there something wrong with the machine? I am tearing my hair out over this after trying time and time again.

I have no experience of tablets but it's probably determined by the date the file was created, rather than when the photo was taken or its name.

Last time I saw reference to this the advice was to use an app called QuickPic from Google Play (free) instead of the default image gallery.

It has a Sort facility menu and you can set the order by name or date, ascending or descending.

Don't know if it's suitable for your devise.

Well Nev, I can't find any way to find apps for my tablet? I did try the Google site but it doesn't support mine apparently. In the instructions it says to tap on the APPSLIB icon but I can't find the icon?? It says the online library has thousands of apps to download! if only I could find it!

How do I download apps?

Your ARNOVA tablet comes with AppsLib for downloading free and paid for applications. There are over 30 000 applications available on AppsLib in a wide range of genres and uses.

To download from AppsLib you just need to agree to the AppsLib Terms and Conditions (these will be available the first time you open AppsLib) and you can start searching through apps and downloading them.

You do not need to create an account to download free apps from AppsLib. You only need to create an account if you wish to download paid for applications.

You will find a shortcut to the AppsLib app on the primary homescreen or in the Apps section of your device.

You can buy apps from AppsLib by using Paypal. Paypal supports many different payment systems and many different countries. You will need to create an account on AppsLib.com and link your AppsLib account to your paypal account to start purchasing apps on AppsLib.

Note that you need to be connected to the Internet to use AppsLib.

BUT from a quick google you are not alone in the missing appslib area and there are myriad reasons/solution depending on model etc
the simplest solution (apart from getting a different tablet) seems to be reinstall applibs from your browser so from

we have this..

may be worth a go? I only have experience of a few android tabs a cheapy chinese one which was a nightmare and some galaxys which seem to work out of the box with no issues so have never had to delve into them.

Ah brilliant Nev, thanks for the help. It appears there was no appslib on the machine for some reason? I have now downloaded it and can browse for a photo gallery app. All I need now is to find my way around the apps site and find the right one.

If it were me, I'd look at installing the play store app. find out which version of android you're running then look around for cyanogenmod 'GAPPS', which will install gmail etc. for you, it's probably dependent on you having root but it'll will give you acesss to the play store.

Whoa, steady on Reggie, I am just getting my head around this machine. I am still wading through the tons of apps on the site to find out which one is best for me! Tried 5 so far but none of them can sort out the order of my gallery.
