Hi all,
I am now the proud owner of an Axminster 10" table saw on wheels, an EB3 and a big smile on my face.
Before I lift the top assembly onto the base, I want to make sure that I have done everything that I can to the base to improve it's 'performance'.
I vaguely remember a post on the forum during the last year or so regarding some simple modifications that someone had done to the base of their tablesaw to improve the dust extraction. Sorry that the details are vague (my senior moments seem to be getting longer these days and are now merging together into one long permanent senior moment), but if I remember correctly then they had blocked off some of the gaps at the bottom of the stand with mdf(??), and maybe made some other 'improvements'.
I have spent a whole evening using the search function on the forum and entered just about every combination of words (tablesaw, dust, extraction, improvement, base, etc etc etc) that I can think of, but without success.
Did I dream about this post, or can anyone else remember it?? If anyone does remember it (or even wrote it maybe), could they please reply with a link to it.
Many thanks,
Peter
