Hi everyone, I’m a first time poster but long time lurker.

I’ve recently bought a cheapie job site table saw and I feel like a bit of a pillock as there’s a part of it that I don’t recognise nor is it referred to in the manual (at least that I can see!). I’m sorry to ask but does anyone know what the thing in the picture is? Thanks in advance!

anti kickback device. Sits with the riving knife and allows the wood to go forwards but not back. in your picture the right side goes on the riving knife with the saw tooth looking things going away from the blade.
