Table refurb

Hi all,

I'm trying to tidy up a good quality table that's looking shabby, I've tried sandingvit down with my palm sander but the disc is quickly getting clogged by old wax and muck, any way round this or advise appreciated.

Steel wool & white spirit. Or a cabinet scraper. Sand finally.

Thanks for that, any particular grade of steel wool ?

I imagine that if you are going to sand or scrape it after it doesn't really matter, whatever you have. If you have to buy some coarse will be quicker and depending on the finish clog less.
