T-slot router bits

Has anyone here used T-slot cutters ? Im thinking of using one to cut slots in the back of the false faces on my homemade router table fence as in the picture below. My problem is all the ones I have seen are huge and I dont think it needs to be. Ive looked at Wealdons and they start at a 28mm wide slot which sounds much too big. The faces will be 12mm thick Phenolic plastic.

Cheers yeah I saw the keyhole cutters but they dont seem to leave much margin for the bolt heads to tighten on, I think the slot is 4.5 and the t part is 9.5 so the edge will only be 2.5mm if you know what I mean.
