Such a sad ending

4 young lives lost is indeed very sad,but i have to say even with my limited diving knowledge that they could not have been very experienced at anything other than shallow dives, even at the top of the rock pile you would need to calculate decompression stops ,at least one depending on how long you spent at that depth.To be honest it is a miracle that 4 got out alive to tell the tale.

I don't think it was her brother she was hugging, he was the one that got stuck down the shaft unless I confused.
Anyway it is very sad but I guess it's part of the thrill of extreme sports, I know some people that do them, skydiving for instance. While it's very safe in general part of thrill is that you might not make it. Doesn't appeal to me at all, I am usually a very risk averse person and quite happy about it. Cave diving sets off two of my discomforts, the thought of drowing (and open water swimming in general) and claustrophobia.
No you are indeed correct it is me who got confused. The brother was found 50' from the entrance but believed to of died much further down. His sister and friend were found in one of the false domes hugging each other, what an awful way to go, having the hope of escape taken away due to going into one of the false domes.
