Struggling to find great quality birch ply

I had huge 18m 10x5 ft stuff from Lathams and said I wanted it flat clean and perfect as it was for a furniture project. That's how it came, wrapped as well!
If you don't ask you may end up with the sheet from the top of the heap which has boot prints all over, etc.
Going in to select is such a time waster - and may not be possible if what you want is half way down the pile - so it's usually easier to be very clear with your ordering. If they know they can't do it they may recommend something else, or decline the order, which saves everybody a lot of time and effort.

Just received a small batch of small size 18mm birch ply panels and they where packaged with 3mm birch ply on either side, now that is good news.

Search for artist ply board there are lots available for artist to paint on.

Travis Perkins do a ply called Wisa, much the same as Birch ply, I thought Jewsons s did it a well but it seems they may have stopped.

Wisa is a brand, they make various types of plywood including birch ply, spruce ply, and birch with a spruce core ply, etc.

Good product generally in my experience.

I made quite a lot of children's furniture using it as it is lighter than Birch ply, stood the children test very well. But the difference in price isn't that great. So if you can afford solid birch I would use that.
