Startrite table top removal..advice please..

I now have in my possession a Startrite 145 in nice condition. Some advice please, the blade will only tilt to 43 deg due to the motor fan cowel hitting the cross member/bar (after a change of motor). Is it a simple job to remove the table top in order to remove some material from said bar to cure the problem..and is replacing it straight forward?

yes dead easy
remove 6 bolts and top ;lifts off
one man lift too
