Startrite 12s1 blade guide options.

Good afternoon.
This is my first post here and I hope someone can help.
I have just bought a really clean and original 12s1 but it's missing the lower blade guides. Has anyone got a photo of what they look like? I am planning on upgrading them anyway but wanted to see how they fitted from factory.
Any information will be gratefully received.
Also what upgrades have people used as this saw doesn't have a round guide support on the upper set instead it's square.

Welcome to the forum Rich, I hope someone on here can help. In the meantime have you tried looking for a parts diagram from one of the Startrite spares suppliers?

I'm not sure if this fits your machine. But they do upper and lower guides.

I have an 18-S-5 and have used a couple of 24-T-10's so I have a bit of familiarity with the range.I have seen both plain guides and bearings on them and the bearings had the same eccentrics as those in the link above.The assembly could be moved backwards and forwards to position the guides in the correct position.Could our new member post a photo of his upper guide to help us with the answer?The dropbox link above was not too receptive to my mouse click.

I have always found ALT Saws very helpful. Their web site is not much to look at but they are very helpful and they certainly know their Startrites.
