whats your preference for stance while scrolling ?

up to now i've stood but i'm refitting the workshop and wondering if i should build in a lowe bench for sitting at while scrolling.

I have a stool that I can sort of perch on and find I am using it increasingly for things like marking out and scrolling that need no particular force. Sawing and planing are still done standing though.
Top tip for marking out and scrolling is a bench anglepoise – if your eyes aren’t as good as they used to be…

I don't have a preference; whether I sit or stand depends on which saw I'm using and what it happens to be mounted on.

Definately sitting. When I go the scroll saw it is for at least 4 hours and I can't stand that long. Besides the stool puts my bifocals in range.

Hi

I gotta sit - and at the right angle. When I stand, I seem to move around and find it difficult to cut smoothly. I use a tall draughtsman's chair and my saw is mounted on the bench with everything I need within reach. I have been scrolling in this manner for over 10 years, now.

Hello everyone.I like to stand whenever possible but it's nice to sit down when my feet get tired.
