Been busy with a few small jobs recently. I have finished these cupboards to fit under some stairs. They will be fitted in a weeks time. Simple MDF and softwood construction to be painted. just hope they fit.

Ive made quite a few of these and have come unstuck once by making a pointy door inset .Now all the inset doors have a small horizontal rail at the top .I see you have overlaid the doors nice move ,gets over the problem of the top catching as you open.

Cheers Bern :D

They are inset Bern. I have however relieved the tops of the doors so they don't catch. I too have been caught out before.

That looks really good! that funny feeling when a job looks right!
Similar to the wardrobes and cupboards I made in a loft conversion last year.
As you say, the doors and handing need some consideration.
I do love the finished look when the racks, shelves and drawers are done and ready for the shirts, ties etc.
Regards Rodders

Looks good Mailee. I just hope they're the right hand ;)

I know someone who surveyed a job like that and took his measurements from inside as there was an overhang on the string. He did his drawing as viewed from inside. When he came to make it in the workshop it looked great and matched the drawing, lovely teak outer frame and sash frames with (I think) maple veneer panels. Unfortunately, when he came to fit it, it was the wrong way round

Bern not teaching you to suck eggs, but all you have to do is back edge the top "pointy" edge . It then clears easily. I've had to build loads of these and normally just use my rail saw to nip off a beveled back edge
