Follow on from my no-name pieces this is the other part of the spiral.

This time kept the base natural oak and turned the spiral is ebonised and then masked and painted with green interference paint. I also extended the support and added a ball, like the spiral ebonized and this time blue interference paint used.

Dalboy,

What is the paint used on the ball? Personal preference, but I think that I prefer the first one, both great work though.

Thank you Marcros the paints are Golden Interference paints

Tending to agree with Marcros, first one looks better balanced to me when displaced as a pair, although full marks for the execution and finish techniques as usual.

One it's own I can visualise No.2 as a planetary inspired piece rather than complimentary to the first.
