Spindle tooling storage

Just wondering if anyone had made a cabinet, box, etc for storing spindle tooling, or if there`s any commercial designs I could adapt.

I`ve done a bit of googling & looked through my books, but whilst I`ve found lots of ideas for router bits storage there doesn`t seem a lot for spindle tooling, either that or I`m looking in the wrong place :lol:

im going to narrow down an old map drawer chest (1200w x 900d) to run on bb runners, and have all the tooling in there, most used bits at the top/ comfy level, spares etc at the bottom.
the drawers will keep the dust out, and moulding profiles can be laid out to easily identify.

currently have a cabinet on the wall, however, its awkward to lift a 100mm rebater etc up everytime, and cutters are in boxes, not easily findable.

Edit,

Ive always kept the boxes blocks arrive in,and use a bit of the foam packing in the bottom of the box, so the blocks can be grabbed easily, and the edges are sitting on soft foam.

I made (well its part made ) this, top part for the blocks, work top for changing/sharpening cutters, and drawers for cutters.

Here's my effort built into the end of chopsaw station

For the limiters and cutters i used a piece of 15x25 ish timber to separate the rows. I put a small angle on the front so there slightly leaning back. Usually takes me about 3 opened drawers before i find the one im after :lol:

I just hang mine on the wall . These were made with 4mm bolts so you can hang the profiles on them theres enough room for the cutters and limiters

The blocks hang on adjustable plastic feet screwed onto the wall

Thanks for all the replies chaps, also thank you Shultzy for sending over the Sketch up drawing, all much appreciated & great food for thought.

I`m very limited for space in the workshop, so over the weekend I`ve sorted out a bit of wall space where hopefully I can build something in.

I`ve already started & made a door for the unit even though I`ve not sorted an internal design, I figured the size of the door may as well be as big as the available space .

I`ll post some photos as more progress is made.
