Hi,
i am thinking of buying a spindle moulder or a spindle moulder/saw combined.
I make kitchens, wardrobes and cabinets and have used an inverted router until now for making panelled doors ,but now i want to upgrade to something easier to use ,more accurate and with better extraction( i use mdf ) .
I have a very small workshop with a 240 volt supply but i am prepared to pay for good quality .
Could you give me some advise on what to buy (including dust extractors and tooling for panelled doors ),

thanks,

John

John - Any reason why you want to have a spindle moulder?

I have a startrite which is a wonderful bit of kit, even though i have 3 phase in my shop its a 240v which is still very meaty.

to make shaker style doors i now use 2 x20mm tenon blocks and an adjustable groover, which in total cost 448 quid.

I buy the tooling as and when i need it.

I think a sliding table is an essential bit of kit, although some do make their own sleds which do the same function.

Hi Mark ,
thanks for your response .I will look up the startrite .
Can you do doors with ovolo aswell?

HI John
I have a Scheppach HF3000 with a load of tooling for sale if you are interested in second hand. It's had very little use and I don't really have space for it.
