Spam phone calls

Use to get so fed up with these calls. Not anymore. Had fun all day winding the poor Indian on the other end.
One tried to sell me a contract for mobile phone, so I told him to go ahead as I had just been made bankrupt and with 9 kids needed a new contract to look for a new job. Anyway to cut long story short eventually ended up with the supervisor apologising because he couldn`t lend me a fiver.
Hour later, call from Bupa, about to confirm contract but seems "AIDS" could cause a problem. BET I DONT HEAR FROM THEM FOR A WHILE !!!
If I do I`ll ask them for a payment for the misses laundry bill.

I have got rid of virtually all junk telephone calls by registering with TPS Online http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/ and junk mail by registering with MPS Online http://www.mpsonline.org.uk/mpsr/

Never worried about credit. Always live to my means and have never held a creditcard. Honest.
What really bugs me is people like my sister , She went and got a second mortgage to go on holiday. I estimate that the 2 week break will cost her 10 grand or more. New mortgage of £1500 over 15 years.

Mind you that`s just my own opinion !!

Or maybe not :wink: - I think our credit-based society goes too far at times;unfortunately,it now seems to be regarded as normal.
The only money I owe is my mortgage (£65,000) and that seems like a lot (although the house is worth twice that)
How people can go out and put a two-week foreign holiday on the credit card without batting an eyelid is beyond me..

The best for the Indian call centres for mobile phones is to say - What is a mobile phone?? - they go into such detail to explain it to you and in the end you say that you don't thinks its for you.
For most of the rest if you say you are not the home owner and rent the property - most just put the phone down and they seem not to call you back.
You can have such fun with them if you can spend the time.

i never answer the land line and everyone i know only knows my mobile. What gets me going, is when the landline does ring and the wife answers - the *******s hang up.

What that is, is an auto dialer.
It will dial say 10 numbers about can only answer 5 because that is all the people they have on the phones.
I get it too

Here is one more thing you can try eith the people that ring you up.

When they ring, say you have some one at the door or some thing is on the fire and see how long they will stay on the phone :twisted: .
Ps See who can get the longest

with window firms ,i let them take all details , arrange for a visit , and after about half an hour ,i tell them i will let the landlord know when they are coming
they soon go away!!!!!!!!!
