A while back SWMBO saw one of my pieces of spalted sycamore and remarked that it would make a nice shelf above the fireplace in the front room. So next time I went to the yard, she came round and picked out a nice bit of beech for the shelf. Earlier on in the week I did a bit of planing to smooth it off.
Pretty much finished.
Cut it down to size a bit more and had to plane a bit off.
Drilled a few holes in the wall (12mm)
And a few in the wood.
Didn't take any pics of the rods in, but I put 12mm rods into the wall and into the wood and then slotted it on.
Crap picture and it doesn't do it justice at all, but the boss is happy with it.
