I've had eye problems all my life. Without my contact lenses I do a pretty good impression of a pipestrelle.
I recently had cause to go to the hospital as my eyes were so sore that I couldn't wear my lenses. Fortunately the problem was of my own making and easily resolved.
Opthalmologist: How often do you change your case?
Me: Ummm...
O: You should get a new one every three months.
M: Ummm...
O: Can I throw this in the bin?
She gave me a leaflet on bathing my eyes, which I used to do but got out of the habit of because I'm lazy, and suggested an Eye Pad. I looked online and they are anything up to £20. Stuff that. I was talking to my mate Dave and he suggested a sock of rice. It's brill.
So if you get sore eyes, blepharitis, or MGD, give it a whirl. I've done an Instructable of it, if you want the details.
