Hi everyone,

Just a few pics of the cue I've been working on of late. The WIP pics in my earlier thread were of the construction of this cue...

Ferrule yet to be fitted, finish is getting there.

Steve, nice cue.

If you would like me to test one of your cues just let me know. I did once get a 65 break at snooker, comprising 8 blacks and 9 reds. Missed a brown for 69.

My cue is a powerglide Rex Williams original. I think it is 17 1/2 oz with 10mm tip.

Regards, Tony.

Hi Tony,

Thanks for offer but I don't think my cues are quite up to that sort of standard just yet, still have a lot of foibles to iron out. Perhaps when I've got another couple finished they'll be getting closer :D .

I've heard those old powerglides are nice cues, never managed to lay hands on one yet though. I've a 3/4 jobbie from Tony Wilshaw in Burslem, I find it a bit 'whippy' for snooker, just the job for pool though and made to standard I can only aspire to for the time being.

Steve,

My cue has been worked on by B&W, they made and fitted a little extension to the butt.

I enjoyed my trip to their workshop just outside Birmingham, they have a snooker table upstairs which you can use and they will make small adjustments to a cue while you wait and test.

I seem to remember that a few lower ranked pro players were customers.

The workshop was full of lathes and Ash blanks, it would be very interesting to watch a cue being made.

Cheers, Tony.
