Cheers all. Krysstel, we have a Bauhaus yep. That was my original guess at the Metabo dealer. I haven't been there yet. In the mean time I went to a more local place which is a festool/metabo/dewalt/bessey/wisa/bosch/hitachi/everything-imported-specialist-kind-of-dealer place and they quoted the earlier price. They are expensive, I know. I'm sure I can get a better price from Bauhaus (they are also Scheppach dealers over here).
I am still pondering the Deft option as it really seems the better choice. I reckon I'll end up paying 2/3 of the Deft in order to import an Xcaliber contractor saw, so the deft is looking more appealing in price terms.... however, I probably need to knock out the back wall of my garage in order to fit it in ;-)
