Does a webcam have the disadvantage of being non-directional?
Would it be possible to do this with a camcorder?

How about uploading a series of videos to youtube? I used to think of youtube as a site where you can find a video of pretty much anything, until I tried to find out about hand tool techniques - apart from a few good ones about sharpening, there's not much out there that I can find. I imagine it would also be good promotion to this site if the videos had a 'brought to you by UKWorkshop.co.uk' title screen or web link in the surrounding text.

O.K. yah, well, ColinC and I found a window of opportunity and got around the table viewed a couple of powerpoint presentations, a few pie charts and some spreadsheets and discovered that neither of us have a clue how to youtube or conference call or video .
Sooooo we need someone with the knowledge to help.
We have the workshop, the broadband, the skills, the desire to show off, no sorry, the desire to help others who wish to learn.
If there is anyone out there who would like to help the workshop is near Radlett in Hertfordshire, jct 5 M1 or trains First Capital(Thameslink) which feeds Bedford to Brighton.
I can promise a few laughs food and drink.
If anyone else would like to come along and watch first hand that might make things more interesting.
Any volunteers?

Hi All,

Back again (Location now added to my profile :- Thx Scrums). Would be interested to know if Dom and ColinC managed to get Camcorder hooked up to P/C and prove they can get a picture on P/C screen. I wonder how mobile Byron is

It's free and very easy to do.

At least he's nearer than I am and seems to have some experience of the techy side.
